Eric Walker

Eric Walker is Vice President of Affordable Housing at National Church Residences, an Ohio-based nonprofit affordable housing developer that owns over 19,000 units of affordable housing. Ericguides his team through originations, acquisitions, and finance processes for affordable housing developments across multiple states. His team’s primary focus is expanding affordable housing for seniors through new construction and preserving existing communities. With over 18 years of experience, Eric has developed a diverse portfolio of affordable housing projects, including crafting financial structures for 4% and 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) developments, 223(f) refinances, financing closures, and ensuring funding obligations are met from project inception to completion. His teams typically combine tax credit equity with FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Conventional loan products. Over the last 5 years the team has closed close to 50 LIHTC transactions and has acquired over 2,300 affordable units. Eric serves on the American Community Capital, LLC Advisory Board and SAHF Developer Advisory Committee. Eric has been with National Church Residences since July 2005.
